Applications : Firmware-Iwlwifi for Debian

Incase some of you wonders, what is iwlwifi, I quoted these from official download page on Debian packages download :

This package contains the binary firmware for Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG, Intel Wireless WiFi Link 5100AGN/5300AGN/5350AGN, Centrino Wireless-N 100/105/130/135/1000/1030/2200/2230/6150, Centrino Advanced-N 6200/6205/6230/6235/6250 and Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 cards supported by the iwlegacy/iwl3945 and iwlwifi/iwlagn drivers.

 So, get this straight. On Windows slang, it's called drivers. It's drivers for Intel PRO/Wireless card.


Okay, let's continue to the installation :

• Open your Terminal Emulator in root account, type :
  
  
  

  apt-get install firmware-iwlwifi

  
  
  
• Reboot
• Try to toggle your WiFi, does it turns on ?
